A review of The Coaches Guest House by None written on Monday 11th of August 2008
Functional value. Beds comfortable, good en-suite bath/shower facilties. Rooms a little old-fashioned, and fussy curtains not dusted. Presence of various lights fixed but not all working. All that just ok. But food very disappointing.Cook brings coffee at table every morning, once even announcing "hot of the press" in a cafetiere but when you drink it, you realise that it is very weak instant coffee. So if you like fresh coffee in the morning, this is not the place for you. But if you like greasy filling breaksfast, this is right for you. Could not tell if the omelette was real or reconstituted egg mix? Also served manufactured thick pancake - we didn't like it and toast thin and tasteless. Nothing that seems fresh. You can eat evening meal for £10 per person, but a little on the greasy side. Again, for sweets, that horrible coffee followed by manufactured sweet biscuits.
We would have expected better quality for the price.
