A review of The Wild Elephant by Liz T written on Wednesday 10th of September 2008
I have now eaten at this restaurant three times - that is every night I have been to Edinburgh on business in the last year. The service is fabulous - polite and friendly without being over the top. But the food is the real draw - the most authentic Thai food I have tasted outside of Thailand, with all the subtle flavours accompanied by that hot chilli punch that I associate with Thai cuisine. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. If you like heat then try the jungle curry (Gang Pa) accompanied by simple steamed rice. The flavours in this dish were an absolute sensation and the heat really lifted my spirits. Plenty of veggie choice and reasonable prices make this a must visit for any party in my book. .
