I'm not sure what Ms Manahans agenda might be but I'd urge her to drop it post haste and get a grasp on reality.
You're living in the 21st Century and representing a modern and (hopefully) cultured society. The painful history of the recent troubles in Northern Ireland have finally been laid to rest and the potato famine was something that occurred over 250 years ago.
For god's sake woman, get out in the world and get a life!
I grew up believing the Irish were "thick" because that's what the jokes told me. Don't play the stereotype and make me believe they were true, .
