A review of Lismore Primary School by Cynthia Smith written on Monday 22nd of September 2008
I was educated at Lismore Primary School when it was Niddrie Mill Annexe and latterly Lismore. The year was 1953-1960. I have fond memories of pupils and staff alike. I remember Lismore being built onto the 'tin school' as we called it. My favourite teacher was Mr Mays (P7). My P7 class had a reunion 10 years ago and it was really good to catch up with what everyone was doing since leaving school. Sorry that the school is being closed and maybe it would be nice for past and present pupils to get together before this happens in the school. I am sure the Evening News would help contact people or at least advertise the event.
