This library has one of Scotland's most comprehensive collections of Health Promotion and Public Health material. The library holds over 13,000 books and has over 400 paper journals. You can access over 4000 more journals through the NHS Elibrary which is available on anyone of the 5 public access computers that they have and they have printers and photocopying service available. The service is free to anyone who works in the NHS and is 50p per article to everyone else. They run a really good enquiry service and the staff will always try and help with your enquiry. They also will do literature searches for you. The Library is open to anyone who lives or works in Scotland Monday to Thursday 9am til 4.30pm and Friday 9am til 4pm. They also operate a postal service and take request by email library@health.scot.nhs.uk or over the telephone 0845 912 5442. This is one of the best libraries i know and has one of the best selection of materials on Health Promotion and Public Health. Anytime i have used this library the staff are brilliant and really helpful and have always helped me find what i'm looking for..
