A review of Southern Cross Cafe by Charlotte written on Friday 1st of May 2009
The waitress refused to let me pay for my part of the bill saying they didn't split bills as a rule...but the place was empty..and there were only two of us eating. For a bit of rudimentary maths and making a customer feel better about paying £8 for a lunch they didn't much enjoy I'd think it was quite simple to work out. Had a veg wrap thing which was bland and a bit dull, the food here is very overpriced with sandwiches at around £7 and coffees over £2. For what it is (heated up, pre-prepared food) there are plenty of places you could find it cheaper or in which the money would give you a much better quality of food. The cafe does have a good location though. .
