A review of Lismore Primary School by William Wright written on Friday 17th of July 2009
After having spent 5 years at lismore when I was a kid (61 to 66), I can only say how sad it is to find out the school has been closed down :o(
Wonderful memories (specially when the baker's van came round at break time), the teachers, the (now old) friends. Local people need schools like this in their communities, it creates a sense of being and involvement in local life. Lismore primary certainly prepared me somewhat for my life ahead (I'm now an IT worker in France). How many millions are wasted in parliament buildings, expenses sheets for politicians well being & so on. who cares about local communities & kids now? It's all about money, money, money.
