A review of Mayville Guest House by Ronnie tutt written on Sunday 2nd of August 2009
My experience in brief of the mayville guest house and was so looking forward to a scottish experience.
when you call ahead you get the manager, when you turn up you get the polish welcome, 2 young polish guys who are all over the place. my room was ok ish but at 6.00 pm realised i've got no towels, so i had to go hunting where one of the guys was just folding them. the following morning i realised i had no cups and coffee/tea. so again i go hunting and in the hallway is the previous guest's dirty tray and cups still sitting there.....nice
so i took them and washed them up assuming this is the norm in the mayville.
when at breakfast i tried telling the other guy who said sorry, sort of.
then we waited 45 mins for breakfast which i requested i just have beans on toast, i had to say it 3 times but hey at least it turned up.
to my relief checkout was 10.00am but would have gone at 6.00am.
if this experience sounds fun then the mayville is for you..
