Corstorphine Dementia Project
The Corstorphine Dementia Project has provided day-care for people with a diagnosis of dementia in the wider Corstorphine area since 1991. The area served is along the Aberdeen railway line taking in West Craigs, by the Maybury Road, including Cammo, to the Queensferry Road, up Clermiston Road and by the west side of Carrick Knowe Golf course back to the railway line.
The Project, a registered charity, is a Company Limited by Guarantee and is mainly funded by a Block Contract with Social Work. There are a total of 70 day-care places available each week in two clubs, both held in accommodation rented from Carrick Knowe Church. Jubilee 1 operates Monday to Friday in the Jubilee Hall and Jubilee 2 operates Monday and Tuesday in the Fraser Lounge.
Outreach Support is also available and there is a monthly social event for members and their carers.
