A review of Smithie's Ale House by John O'Sullivan written on Friday 14th of January 2011
I used to walk around cannonmills looking for a decent pint,i was about to lose all hope and then on a cold lonely night i stumbled across smithies ale house.I wondered whether I should try for a 'cheeky' pint or would my hopes be shattered again. In the end the cold wind drove me in and I found the greatest pub in the world.the staff where so friendly and made me feel welcome the pint was so amazing.if i die tomorrow my only regret will be not having a last pint in this dynasty of a pub.The bar food seems simple but they cook it to perfection and their long juicy hot dog is to die for,the other clientell in the pub are friendly and make you feel loved.every thursday the master of quiz, the (quizmaster) test your intellect for a mere 50p.all i can say is GREATEST PUB EVER.
