A review of Mrs Formans Inn by Carey Moss written on Friday 4th of March 2011
The restaurant is small with changing blackboard menu offering fairly standard bistro type fare. Beer, wine and spirits are priced up marketly with no reduction for purchasing a bottle over a glass (which is unusual these days) Fairly minimalist decor with, given the location an underlying golfing theme, ok.
There is no tv, only middle of the road piped musak. Meals are advertised from noon with last orders taken at 2000 hrs (earlyish in my opinion) however on the day we dropped in at around 1500 in afternoon potential diners were being turned away to the tune of
"the kitchen dos'nt open until six" so don't know about that although it is noticeable the the actual kitchen itself is very small to service a possible 40 plus covers additionally there is an attractive beer garden area which would accomodate at least the same again for meals and drinks. The bar itself has only a few stools and little standing room for those who might only care for some refreshment. Without being over critical I think there is definitely room for improvement.
