A review of Tim Galloway by Karen written on Thursday 7th of April 2011
I live a few doors down so I thought I'd give it a go, they were very accommodating with my last minute booking which was nice, but seemed too eager to get me finished and out the door. I asked for a wash, cut, blowdry and finish, with extra volume and curls for a date. Overall the experience was lovely, friendly chat, offered a cup of tea, magazines etc... all the normal hairdressing tokens. As my curlers were cooling however I was asked to pay as the receptionist wanted to cash up. I found the stylist quite rough with my hair, thought too shy to say anything, the wincing facial expressions should've given it away. Once the rollers were removed he began to spilt the curls; making them look rather stringy, the junior stylist suggested brushing them out but was ignored. After a few requested alterations I gave up, it looked okay, but seemed to have been styled from a centimetre away from the root, making it look like a wig. By the time I got home the curls had virtually disappeared. I played around with it a bit, ended up lightly brushing them out as was suggested and it seemed to help. I'm not exactly looking forward to my date like this! Won't be returning any time soon..
