A review of The Captains Bar by Marg and Malc written on Saturday 26th of November 2011
We wandered in here from the main street one evening. Some Scottish music was about to start so we decided to stay and see what would happen. What a fantastic night. We sat close to the musicians and were able to enjoy a beautiful performance on violin by a wild blond violinist. Some strange and humourous songs from the singer/ guitar player. Many of the audience seemed to know the songs and joined in and then we were treated to other songs by people who had been in the bar but turned out to be top folk singers. Well a lovely night in Edinburgh. Must visit again soon.
