A review of Wonderland Models by Tim Taylor written on Saturday 17th of December 2011
Very unimpressed with the manager's attitude to customer service. I bought a kite there today as a present for my nephew, and after discussing the purchase with my brother by phone after leaving the shop, decided it would be better to choose a different one.
So returned to shop 5 minutes later and selected a different one - which turned out to be cheaper - but they refused to give me a refund for the difference in price (they offered me a store credit instead). OK, so they are not legally obliged to offer a refund if the item isn't faulty (although, funnily enough, they *are* legally obliged to do so if you order from their website), but it doesn't say much for their attitude to customers.
I left feeling I'd been robbed, and that they clearly are only interested in getting my money - once they've got that, they don't give a damn about customer satisfaction. I won't be going back there again. The difference in price was only a few quid, but clearly they felt they would rather keep my few quid and loose me as a future customer..
