A review of Gilmerton Miners Welfare Society by Hungry pensioner written on Sunday 15th of January 2012
I attended this function on many occassions and have enjoyed myself, particuarly looking forward to the meal, this year was different at 12 pound a ticket I felt it was a bit steep the soup was cold the steak pie was luke warm and the veg and potatoes were all cold, the sweet which was trifle was like liquid. I understand that it was a different person doing the catering bring back the ladies who usually do the catering for this function this person who did the catering needs to buy a cook book on basic cooking or a thermometer for testing heat, I understand I am not the only person to complain when asked for our money back we were told no as it had already been spent. .
