The Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway is a fun day out for both families and rail enthusiasts. The Santa specials are always popular with kids and the Diesel Gala is very popular with rail enthusiasts who can spend a whole weekend behind a variety of diesel locomotives built in the 1960s which worked on the national network well into the 1980s and 1990s. There is also a great station restaurant which serves quality hot meals and snacks. For the rail enthusiasts there is a shop which specializes in second hand railway books, magazines, maps, timetables etc..
