A review of Baileyfield Garage by Brendan A Joyce written on Wednesday 17th of July 2013
I was a very long way from home. "Blow-backs " from my 25 year old Bentley as I crested the Forth Road Bridge ( is there a worse place in Scotland to break down ? )sounded too ominous by far. I limped into Leith and then the trouble really started. She just wouldn't start "for love nor money nor me". My breakdown insurer despatched BAILEYFIELD GARAGE to help and I must say from the moment I saw the friendly smile of Colin, I felt sure I was in good hands. The Bentley was recovered to the garage where David worked until well after normal closing time to help me on my way, explaining all his thinking as he diagnosed the problem with an old fashioned yet very sound engineering approach, prefering to mend the part if at all possible rather than simply find a new one - much cheaper for the customer I might add. All done on the hottest day of the year so far and with a cheerful spirit and important sense of urgency. Very many thanks David and Colin for your excellent service and keen approach. Not too often seen these days so it's a pleasure to be able to say THANKS.
