"Dissapointing"

I have been visiting this surgery my whole life as my entire family are registered there. It was only when i was old enough to start making appointments and visiting myself that i really lost faith in the practice.

To start with, once you have made an appointment (if you're lucky enough to get one within 3 days of needing it) no matter how early you arrive you will be waiting for 20 minutes PAST your scheduled appointment time...which is really frustrating and not good enough.

I have had a re-occuring illness and been into the surgery once a month since November to seek treatment. Each time the female doctor prescribed me antibiotics, i gave a urine sample and got sent away - never finding out the results of the test. In this final instance i had a male doctor who finally referred me to the hospital for further tests - although the antibiotics he prescribed me have not worked and once again there has been no follow up or call regarding my test results.

When you get one day off a week it is not ideal to be spending an hour at the doctor's surgery to just go through the same old checks and routine. The doctors should be doing more to investigate this illness and really try to work out the internal problem rather then pick from a lucky dip of antibiotics and see if it will work on me.

Also - i was visiting about the same issue and i had another question to ask about contraception where i was waved away and told that she didn't have time to deal with another problem because there were other patients. I can fully understand the doctor's predicament but when i have been waiting over 30 mins to be seen to and then told to get out because she didn't have time for me that was just unacceptable..
