"Great Holiday Inn Express in Edinburgh City Centre!"

I stayed here on business and everything was better than expected. I was expecting a low quality budget type of hotel but the hotel can easily match a 3* place. Bedrooms are the same standard with power shower only - clean, bright and modern. There is a large bar area with the breakfast room above. Continental breakfast buffet is included with the room rate. The Reception staff are super helpful (5* for service!) and gave me directions and advice on local restaurants (as this Holiday Inn Express they do not have a restaurant). The hotel is opposite John Lewis across from the Playhouse Theatre so is handy for catching the bus to the Airport from outside the Waverley Station - about 10 minutes or so to walk up. My luggage went missing and the hotel offered free emergency toiletries and helped me to call up to chase the missing bag - great service from everyone even though they are part of a chain. .
