"Poor job with no communication since"

I was recommended Alan Dobbie Glaziers to replace the sealant between the window frame and wooden surround for 3 windows (due to mould). Photos of the windows as well as the dimensions were sent over to get a quote for the job. As they were going to be in the area, David agreed to do this for £90, which I thought was very reasonably priced.

I had to work when David was coming around so my partner was going to be around to let him. When I got home from work and had a look at the work, I was very disapointed:

- Only the bottom sealant had been replaced on all the windows, although some was in good condition, so I can understand not replacing that, some mouldy sealant in the bedroom hadn't been touched.

- Beneath the new sealant, I could clearly see remnants of the old mouldy sealant, which hadn't been removed properly and will then spread into the new stuff. The new sealant was also unevenly applied which doesn't look great.

- My partner had also asked if David could do the bath if he had time, which I had left extra cash for. Although this was done for free (I wish it hadn't). This had been applied straight over the top of the damp mouldy sealant, which is now peeling away and I'll have to replace myself.

No wonder the job was poorly done as David was in the flat for about 20 minutes. When I talked to him stating that I'd like my money back due to the above point, I heard a lot of excuses and resistance, with no form of apology or acknowledgent of the poor job. Although he did suggest coming back to remedy the work, I didn't want him back after such a poor job; we ended the conversation with David saying he would drop by to discuss it at some point. I've tried calling and messaging since then, but haven't heard a peep.

What leaves me feeling uneasy is that this happened when my partner was home, I wonder if it had been done differently if I was home..
