"August.2018...Australia...Here I come! Thank to Thomas Cook + QATAR airways."

The easiest journey I've ever made. The staff (Thomas Cook 52 Hanover street, Edinburgh Scotland.) were on the ball at ever bounce.Made sure I understood all the information they gave about my flights and changes of flights.Insurance and Visa.

The first flight to DOHA was a breeze! lots of space, and very few fellow travelers to share it with.For 9 hours.I owned that plane. Loved every minute!

Flight 2.was a very different story.

Unfortunately, I had a seat which had a partition behind it and an objectionable male in the seat in front. As my seat could not recline as far as it should, I was a sardine in a can when he reclined his.Fully! When I asked if he could, maybe, put his seat a notch forward, his retort.(Angrily).was."I paid for this seat! No!"

What can one say to that, but, he's in the right.

I didn't have a chair to stand on.

Then! The gentleman in the middle seat to my right fell ill.

To cut a long story short.

The staff were very busy, and as I had cared for sick people in the past, for a good number of years, I said, "I will take care of him."

When he finally settled down, and his coughing, and wanting to vomit ceased.

Many hours later.A very kind air-hostess asked me to follow her, thanking me as I followed, she stopped, pointed to a seat that was reclined almost to the horizontal.

That seat, was the best reward, I could have wished for! I slept like a log. PS.

What ever it was the gentleman had come down with, a virus? More-than-likely.

How do I know.Well, 48 hours after arriving in SYDNEY.I was coughing my lungs up! It took me two weeks to give it the old heave-hoe.

Us Scots are a hardy bunch.

Anyway, The time I spent travelling half of the coastline (East Coast. South and North) and up the middle, was fantastic! Only the West Coast to do.

Will I use QATAR airways to plant me in Australia this year.You bet!

Will I get Thomas Cook staff to handle my travel arrangements.You bet!.
