A review of The Tam 'O' Shanter by Nicolas I H Watt written on Tuesday 2nd of July 2024
My Wife, with a friend of hers and I went here shortly before Christmas one year.
I became ill and in the seating towards the front door, I fainted - following to the floor. An Ambulance was called and shortly afterwards, I was taken 'blue light' to the Western General Hospital, the nearest emergency hospital.
The following morning, I wandered about like a lost soul [not least because I was very confused - and had no idea of the time*]. Staff took me to a ward and assisted me to bed in which I stayed until my Wife called. But, as nobody knew what was wrong, I returned to the ward, to be 'observed' later by Doctors.
HOWEVER: Somebody in "Tam O'Shanter's" took the opportunity of my unconsciousness to *STEAL my very expensive watch the evening before, as the following morning in the WGH I didn't have it on my left wrist and it was nowhere to be seen at my bed.
Later in my life I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome - and it is clinically IMPOSSIBLE for me to tell a lie: Therefore somebody seized my illness to take my watch from me or it got lost in the hospital. I rather imagine, I never even arrived with it..
