A review of Click Let by Ross MacDonald written on Thursday 29th of November 2007
I am writing in reply to Mr McDounell's email posted on 28th June 2007.
In direct response to the issue raised by Mr McDounell, I would like to confirm that when items are sent through the postal service we can not be held responsible for its delivery. When a tenant is setting up a standing order we would always recommend hand delivery (where possible) thus to prevent such a problem.
A charge for late payment is only added to a tenants account to cover our time in drawing up a late rent letter – a letter is only drawn up following us exhausting all other attempts to recover rental by telephone and email.
I would be grateful if Mr McDounell could confirm the other issues he has and I will address them.
I would strongly refute Mr McDounell’s claim that “Click-let is the worst letting agent”. Click-let Ltd Property Management work within the terms & conditions of the Lease Agreement along with the rules and regulations governing residential letting agents. We are also members of the City of Edinburgh Council Landlord Accreditation scheme and regularly attend the Council’s Letwise courses; these are actions I would not associate with “the worst letting agent”.
